For years, Johnnie Walker has walked the world over and left his indelible footsteps in the sands of time as the world’s number 1 Whisky. Albeit no major communication, this global status has positively influenced the brand’s success in Ghana. But this success wasn’t enough for a brand that believes in consistent progress. In 2013, the brand partnered with Kofi Amoabeng, an astute businessman, for an advertising campaign that won the brand some good awareness and affinity amongst their target group.

Keep Walking, Keep Winning

After 4 years of that, there was a lot more to be done. We were tasked by GGBL to work on a communication that entrenched the brand’s status and ethos of progress in a country where a lot more young people were taking the reins of success by starting their own business. We identified the satisfaction of making it despite setbacks as our message and produced a radio ad which featured a successful entrepreneur telling his story about resilience and perseverance.

The message and tone of the radio ad gave the brand new life. It positioned the brand as a strong supporter of dreams and ambition. The success of this has given the brand new energy as it keeps striding on.
